This could possibly be a medical problem. Be lucky that she only wets the bed. My 15 year old cousin had the same problem.. but he was going number two. Ick. Really though, there are some medical conditions where even a teenager cant control their bowel movements, unless shes doing it on purpose, you could possibly need to see a doctor.

Whole thread for the following message:

Hello!! My daughter of 13 almost 14 years this one wetting the bed in the nights?? Also does it happen to you?? I have thinking and even and spoken with her to put it in diapers but (she) refuses completely .uff not that to do ¿? You believe that there are diapers for so major ¿? That you do with your children you put diapers ¿? They do not refuse ¿? Since you take this topic?? I understand that already it(he,she) is very major but also I think on the other hand that equal lasts less and he(she) us is of benefit to all better . Because to this age it(he,she) gives him for wee is done if there is no problem in house?

To count itself since(as,like) it you solved and as(like) it the child goes

Get her to a councilor quick, whatever you are trying to do..you are not helping..get her to someone who can help her deal with the reasons behind this..NOW. If you are even half a mother (you want to be good mum right?) you will do this. She has issues, or a medical problem , but she needs someone WHO IS NOT YOU OR FAMILY (thats because she is a teenager)..trust me ...get her to help, and help her.

"No to diapers"
Posted by indigokidz 25 February  at  03:11

DO NOT put your 13 year old in diapers. This will make them even more insecure at a very delicae stage in life. There are some underlying issues that needs to be addressed. Do not make your child feel ashamed or "weird" abouth this problem. I would try asking her if there is something wrong. You may also want to ask her doctor what they recomend. But be sure to treat this as gently as possible, and do not to discuss it with other friends or family especially with her around. And then only with a TRUSTED person.
"Older kids should wear diapers if neccesary"

i once looked after a 11yr old who wore diapers, he didn't care about wearing diapers it did not bother him, he said they were more comfy for people who wet them self, the parents said it is a lot easier to clean up mess if they have been wearing a diaper,

Sory, i went back to the forum where you sent the message from. I ws explaining that my 15 year old COUSIN has a MEDICAL CONDITION where he cannot even CONTROL his boewel movements (he can't control how he goes to the bathroom, he will sit there and be going and not notice) he can't help it, and hes not even fat, hes not even lazy, its the fact that he cant control it. Relate it to people beign in a wheelchair.. they're not in it because they can't get up, its because they cannot control their legs. Exact same thing. He was diagnosed (he saw a doctor about it) and he had to take medication for the problem. He has gotten through it though and its not longer a problem.

At the end of your email, do you mean that it only happens when she stays over night with friends? It could be that she's a bit insecure about leaving her home and family.
Just a thought.
"It could be psychological"

Is she having problems at school, or with friends?
"Poor thing!"

I can see her problem with the nappies (diapers) though. I don't really understand the end of your email, but have you spoken to a doctor? Maybe they will be able to tell you about products you could use.
"Nappies"
Posted by aaronno78 19 October  at  20:04

tell your daughter that lots of people from all over the world have the problem of wetting the bed. i have worn nappies since i was 12 and i am now 16. i am a normal boy and im into normal things like the boys my age. i enjoy wearing a nappy 24/7 simply because i want to. i am now at the point where i cannot control my wee and pooing and i have just simply told my freinds that i have to for medical reasons and its not my fault. think yourself lucky that you dont have to wear them allday everyday...whether your at school, home, out wiv freinds or staying at peoples houses. never worry they will just understand...
