I am sure those of you who have adopted hear this question all the time. How can you accept a child that you didn't give birth to as your own? I worked in a daycare at one point and I became close to the kids. I was in the infant to toddler section and I learned like any Mother how to intepret what the child wanted based on their crys or behavour. I shared in the joys of the 1st words and 2st steps and son on! So I can see how someone might be able to take a child that is in and care for them as their own. I just wondered is there any difference at all? Are there some ups about adoption vs having your own natural born child? I have heard some people joke that they get to hand pick what the child will look like. If I am being too forward by all means don't answer!

if you bond with the child and become its mother it can't make so much difference. My cousin thought she couldn't have kids so she adopted and then had a child of her own out of the blue and both the girls are just like their daughters, you'd never know. Do you already have kids and wanting to adopt another? Funny how celebrities seem to find it so easy adopting kids from all over the world and bringing them up alongside their own like Madonna and Angelina Jolie. Guess they have it easy though...

Hi im new here, my name is leanne im 24 and in the process of adopting a child....I have 1 son Called Reece who became an angel 2yrs ago....www.reecekieranellis.memory-of.com....
My husband and i are still able to have natual birth children its just im finding it really hard to concive, and also i dont want to go through the pain of having to bury another child...So this is why we have decieded to adopt, i think you have to be a certain person and have cetain feelings to be able to love someone's else's child just like it was your own. You have to be strong and be in that frame of mind.Yes ok im young and my husband and i are going to be the youngest couple to adopt in Stockport and to be honest i feel really really proud of what we are doing and i always will xx
