I am interested in knowing what other people think about the subject of selling breast milk. Working as a wet-nurse or seeking the service.

you can still donate your breast milk, my youngest was 26 weeks when born so i got to expressing straight away and by the time he was 4 weeks old the hospital had 2 large freezers full, i donated the lot and continued to do so for 12 months, i have even wet nursed my friends little one when she had to leave him with me for the day and she was so relieved that he didn't have to take from a bottle.
I am trying for another baby at the moment and will donate my milk again as soon as he/she is born.

I have given birth to six children and breast fed them all. When I had my oldest twenty two years ago you could donate breast milk to prem baby unit which I did in copious amounts. Sadly because of AIDs etc I don't think this is done now. I have also fed other people's children once when someone was ill and when we got stuck in the middle of nowhere and the other mother with me had run out of bottle milk so I fed her child. Don't see a problem myself.

hmm i dont know ive heard of it i think its good idea for prem babys cuz they need all the help they can get and if the mum cant do it and agrees thats fine.
i breast fed my daughter for 9 months and if my friend asked me to feed her baby id do it but i wouldnt like anyone else to feed my child. i feel its something special between a mother and baby but if the child needs it i cant see whats wrong.
