I live in France in the suburb of Paris.

My husband and I are both 39.

We've been the happiest parents of a little princess from China since April 26, 2004.

We travelled to China on April 24 and came back to France on May 8.

Our little sweet heart is called Rose: symbol of love and it is also the flower symbol of the far east:love:

She 's now 34 months old and she's our love !

We're just finished our "agrément" to give our little Rose a sister but not this year .....next year because our agency is overcrowed with work !

I'm so sorry for not answering earlier

We like a few names:
Lila (Lilac )another flower
Jade ( the green stone in China )
or a celtic name Maëllys

But a few days ago our sweet little Rose, nearly 3 years old on July 30, imagined a little sister

She told us she had a sister ....... well no ....... her teddy bear had a sister .....that what she said!!!!!

This the dialogue between the 3 of us:
- well, so your teddy bear's got a little sister ? What's her name?
- her name's "titi" !
- wow that's nice ! And you ? have you got a sister ?
- nooooooooooooooo !!!!!!!!!! I haven't !
- would you like a little sister one day ?
- Yes, I'd like to !!!!!!
- and what's your little sister's name: Jade, Maëllys or Lila ?
- Lilaaaaaaaa !!!!!!!!!
- Sorry ? What's your sister's name?
- my little sister's name's Lila ! but where is my little sister ?
- well, it 's not sure yet ...... maybe one day you'll get one ......but it's not sure yet .....
- but where is she ?
- well she's probably in China at the moment . And maybe on day we'll fetch her in China, Daddy, Rose and Mummy !
- IN China ? Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees !!!!!!!

How is it going with the second one? Did you find it hard emotionally to adjust to having a new baby that wasn't biologically 'yours' or did it seem natural?

And the real love of having a family !

It has always been natural !

It is exactly as if I had given birth! But as I always say, there are 2 sorts of mothers...... mothers of the belly and mothers of heart ....... but ONLY one aim: THE LOVE OF OUR CHILDREN !

Rose was not in my belly / tummy but she was in MY HEART ! she has grown up in my heart and I gave birth ....well my heart opened last year like a flower on April 27 !

Rose's a real angel ....... and you can't even imagine but she does AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALL what we do: she moves like us, speaks like us, imitates everything we do ....... she's our clone and people even tell us that she looks like me ! That's the pure miracle of love !the way she expresses, the way she talks to people, the vocabulary she uses ...

I have to say I've got fair hair and hazel eyes and my husband has got light brown hair and blue eyes ! But we're the most wonderful family in th whooooooooooooooole world !!!!!

It's not "good luck" ......we're exactly the same parents as our next door neighbours!

You have to say : LOOOOOOOOOTS OF HAPPYNESS !

I'm not ill! I don't have an important disease ! I'm alive and I'm not going to die ! It's not sad ! It's joy, love and happyness!

Yes our 2nd adoption goes very well and we're excpeting the precious document in order to write to our association.

Certainly not before september so we have to be patient!

but ADOPTION = PATIENCE !

Of course it was pretty easy because we knew exactly what the psychologists and the social workers wanted to see and hear. We were not stressed at all and very relaxed.

But like the 1st adoption there is lots of paperwork involved but our project is different because we have Rose. It doesn't seem as long as the adoption for Rose because at that time we had no child!
